As a qualified Landscape Architect with a wealth of experience in detailed construction, Nathan approaches each of his projects with a sound understanding of both design and its implementation, each project a unique reflection of its owner and context.

Further to our landscape designs we offer a full service ranging from furniture design to garden lighting, drainage and electrical design.

Our design process is as follows:

  1. In consultation with the client, we develop a project brief which typically includes a site visit to investigate the unique site opportunities.
  2. Preparation of a design fee proposal indicating a suggested sequence of works specific to your project.
  3. Following client approval of our proposal we will undergo the design process outlined in our proposal and meet with you as required to oversee our progress.
  4. After the design has been finalised the design will be assessed with regard to its nature and complexity. If necessary further documentation may be required to ensure the design is constructed exactly how it was intended. Nathan’s regular on-site involvement with his construction team allows this to be kept to a minimum.

Our construction process is as follows:

  1. Preparation of preliminary construction cost estimates
  2. Client consultation to review preliminary construction cost estimates
  3. Following client approval of the construction cost estimates we will begin consulting with Council, Governing bodies, Engineers, Architects and Building Surveyors to ensure all the relevant permits are obtained before we begin construction of your project.
  4. Once all permits are obtained we will begin construction with continued onsite supervision with Nathan Burkett.
